DESCRIPTION:Our week to volunteer at The Lord Is My Help is November 6-10. The Lord Is My Help is a food bank in Ocean Springs that helps those who are hungry with meals and groceries. \nThere are two volunteer opportunities each day as follows. Folks are welcome to sign up below for one or both sessions each day. You must be at least 13 years of age or older to volunteer. \n\n9:15 – 10:00 AM – 5 volunteers are needed to assist with plating meals for Meals on Wheels. These meals are delivered to elderly\, ill\, indigent\, and disabled people in our community.\n11:15 AM – 12:00 PM – 4 volunteers are needed to assist with serving meals in the dining room to the hungry people in our community.\n\nIf there is more than one person joining you\, please sign up for multiple slots to avoid overstaffing issues on the days we serve. Following worship\, come down to the lower parking lot on the north side of campus for LUNCH\, FESTIVAL GAMES AND SNACKS\, BOUNCE HOUSES and more! We will provide lunch and festival snacks\, but we are asking our church family to please bring a DESSERT to share! \nAnd\, of course\, our Fall Festival can’t happen without the help of our VOLUNTEERS! Whether you are helping set up tables and chairs or food and drinks\, assisting with parking or general hospitality and clean up\, everyone can pitch in! DESCRIPTION:The Women’s Bible Studies will meet Wednesdays from 9:30-11:00 AM September 13-November 15. We will begin in the Fellowship Hall and then move into rooms 201 and 202 for our studies. The Precept Upon Precept INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY will be on the book of Ruth. Books for this study are $8. The Moms’ Bible Study this fall will be looking at Timothy Keller’s Counterfeit Gods: The Empty Promises of Money\, Sex\, and Power\, and the Only Hope that Matters. This fall’s Brown Bag Bible Study on Hebrews will be on Thursdays (September 7 – December 14\, will not meet on October 5 and November 23) from 12:10-1:00 PM in room 202.
