DESCRIPTION:Our Women’s Bible Studies are held on Wednesdays from 9:30-11 AM. We all meet in the Fellowship Hall for the first 30 minutes for coffee and a small snack before moving to our two classrooms for the Bible study portion (rooms 201A and 202). Women’s Bible Studies will resume January 11. \nThe Precept In and Out study of the book of Matthew (Part 2) is an 10-week inductive study. When Jesus came\, did people receive Him as the promised Messiah? What did they say about His miracles and His teaching? What caused them to call for His crucifixion? He says He’s coming back. If He came today\, would people recognize Him? As you study Matthew Part 2\, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the resurrection and its power in your life. Then take up the challenge to share the gospel with others. This study requires 1-2 hours of homework each week as we dig into scripture together. \nFor the MOMS’ BIBLE STUDY\, we will be studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians: Living the Gospel to the End by Kathleen Nielson. The apostle Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians form a vital part of the exciting\, complex story of the growth of the early church. \nIf you need nursery (ages 0-4) or childcare (5+) for these Bible studies\, please contact the church office at 228-875-5326 or info@fpcosms.com.

SUMMARY:Women's Bible Studies
DESCRIPTION:Our Women’s Bible Studies are held on Wednesdays from 9:30-11 AM. We all meet in the Fellowship Hall for the first 30 minutes for coffee and a small snack before moving to our two classrooms for the Bible study portion (rooms 201A and 202). \nThe Precept In and Out study of the book of Matthew (Part 1) is an 8-week inductive study considering the King and the Kingdom of Heaven. The first 13 chapters of Matthew will bring us face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. Walk with Jesus through the towns and villages of Galilee\, see the miracles He performs\, and listen to His teaching as He explains His kingdom. This study requires 1-2 hours of homework each week as we dig into scripture together. \nFor the Moms’ Bible Study\, we will be studying None Like Him by Jen Wilkin. As people with limited understanding\, we tend to imagine a heavenly Father who is like us. But popular blogger Wilkin reminds us that our Creator possesses many attributes we don’t—and that’s a good thing!
